ARTelierets nye utstiller

Hun bor i Brodheadsville, Pennsylvania.

Her er noen av hennes sider:

helt herlig!!

Du finner mye mere i bloggen hennes!!!

for å bli enda bedre kjent med henne!!

Why art journaling?

I love art journaling.I feel so passionate about it and it definitely speaks to my soul. I get so excited when I begin to make a new journal. I always get lost in time when I'm creating one.

What art journalers are your faves?

I have to say that there are so many great art journalers that I would be at a loss to pick a favorite and I would hate to leave any one out.  There are some that the way they write is incredible, some that their color choices are fantastic, and then there are some that how and what they draw in their journals is out of this world.  I appreciate all these bits and pieces from other artists who make me want to become a better journaler

Other artists you look to for inspiration?

When I first started out journaling I found Teesha Moore's art journals to be extremely inspiring. i took a few classes with Pam Carriker and i really like her style of art as well. I use to browse through You Tube to watch videos on journaling and see how other artists worked.  Now I try to just focus on what is inside of me and take my inspiration from what is around in my environment, whether it is from advertisements, magazine layouts, nature or patterns in fabrics, to name just a few.  I find that my art is more authentic if I use my own imagination.

What mediums do you like to use?

I really like to use acrylic paints but I go through times where I just do watercolors.  I love to collage as well. There is something wonderful about paper and glue. I mostly use a combination of mediums in my art.

What important bit of advice can you give to those wanting to start art journaling?

I would say the best advice I could give is just start.  From my own personal experience, I know that was the biggest hurdle to get over because the blank page seemed so overwhelming, and I just didn't know where or how to start. The one saving grave with journaling is that there are really no rules and you are doing it for yourself.  Anything you might not like you can cover up with gesso or paper and begin again.  The more you do it the more confidence you will gain.

For du blir inspirert!!!!

Thank you so much Roc, for this great video! We love it!!!
And we love to have you here in our ARTelier!
